Highlights From My Blog I've had quite a few requests lately for my Cats & Quilts Counted Cross Stitch series.  No, I'm not returning to designing counted cross stitch.  But it breaks my heart to turn anyone down so I decided to re-release the series for a limited time.  The entire series of 12 designs, one for each month of the year is available in our Boutique for just a few weeks.  After that, they'll go back into the "vault"!  Also on my blog this week, I've started Block #8 of my Marie Antoinette themed Crazy Quilt.  If you've never been to my blog before, you might enjoy watching my progress as I stitch on this block. The Marie Antoinette Crazy Quilt will consist of 9 - 9inch blocks.  It's been my Winter project and after this block, there's only 1 more to stitch and then I can assemble the quilt.  It will hang in my living room.      Also, if you're a crazy quilter, you might be interested in my Elegant Crazy Quilt Seam Treatments EBOOK.  This book offer charted borders suitable for working crazy quilt seam treatments using a product called Waste Canvas.  Perfectly sized and spaced stitches every time!   Recipe It doesn't get any easier than this!  These Easter Candy Nests are so fast, fun and pretty!  Perfect for your Easter celebration! Easter Candy Nests   1 - Cadbury Mini Eggs 1 - 12 oz. bag of Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips 2 - Cups Rice Crispies Cereal Mini Muffin Tins Mini Muffin Papers Cookie Sprinkles Melt Chocolate Chips over double boiler.  Remove from heat and add Rice Crispies.  Mix well and spoon into Mini Muffin Papers.  Add 1 Cadbury Mini Egg to the center of each nest and add some sprinkles.  Refrigerate for 1 hour and enjoy! Tax Time!  Ick.  Okay, let' me start by saying that I am a detail person and I do enjoy math.  I do NOT enjoy recordkeeping though and that's where the problem starts.   I know I should be keeping better records.  I should also be eating less sugar and more fish and veggies.  LOL  But, all kidding aside... for a number of years I have struggled with keeping good records for my businesses.  I've tried a couple different software programs, but they just seemed like too much work.   Then, a year or so ago a friend, Dianne of Mama's Pocketbook, offered information on a simple recordkeeping tool online.  I found many good features to this program:    1.  User friendly and simple    2.  FREE - yes, free    3.  Ability to import data and to manually add data   I won't keep you waiting another moment.  Try it at Outright.com.  You can easily sign up for FREE, then enter in your Pay Pal and bank accounts and it will import data automatically.  YAY!  I  It even does Profit/Loss Statements and reports with charts and graphs ( so YOU look great!).
